About a Boy...Nick Hornby

Post by marky »

Maverick: I'll tell you Hugh Grant is one of those actors I want to hate, but he manages to keep me from hating him with movies like "About A Boy" I've wanted to smack him in just about every other film he's been in though. Liz is damn hot, and I don't even blame McCutcheon for taking Hugh's sloppy seconds with her, but the crack whore thing...? Not with a sticky wicket or some bangers and mash. Blach.

Well, maybe I'll check out "About A Boy", when I get time. I haven't read the book. Anyone wanna comment about the book, or even the movie?

McC, you had a book written by a guy who used the Smiths as an inspiration. Did you know some member of the Pernice Brothers also recently published a book in which the Smiths figured prominently? Pernice Bros. were a band I always wanted to investigate more...heard some great things by them a few years ago...

Mark here is the web site by the guy who wrote How Soon Is Never? Marc Spitz, not the swimmer. If you go to his message board, the posts by Matt are me. I tried logging in as McCutcheon but it didn't let me.
