It might be just as simple as in "The Dictator" (well, the french
title is "Le Dictateur"). This guy must have had guts to
deliver such a message by that time. Hats off.

are you talking about "the great dictator" by chaplin or about "tolerance" by griffith? i am confused.

the latter is a racist movie but as regards the former, chaplin bitterly complained that the fuehrer copied his style.

so what?

I was gonna go see that movie a few weeks ago in Paris at that one small theater by the Pompidou center near Mc's old house.

I was upset it wasn't playing yet and then my wife dragged me to the Pompidou (which is one of the first places I did ecstasy back in 1991) and we saw the temporary exhibit (max Beckman the unfortunately-at-the-time jewish kraut) and then saw the Beat inspiring Duchamps and all the weird stuff in the permanent exhibit like the giant hangover head bottle.

wow cant wait to get back
