the whitneys photography exhibit is off the hook.
i saw a photograph from the filmmaker that i described at the guggenheim. a picture of a man with his head cut off, naked , disgusting and provocative. to me this is sensation or police art , but not aesthetically correct.
joan mitchell's abstracts are large and wild. i left the museum crying. this surprised me.
i ended the evening seeing a cuban jazz band.a friend of mine works at the jazz standard on park avenue. they were from havana and the sound was loose, but refined. i love new york.
