do you know of this dance troupe? they are coming april 18-20.they are performing at the UW. it is a combo of words , dance and music. anyone want to go let me know. i believe they are from france.
there is something appealing about dancers dancing in street clothes. i must see this.

Does Billy be Dancing in the Streets to Jagger and Bowie?
maguy marin
I've heard about this dance compagny today (they're looking for a translator for the after questions, Idon't know if I really want to get on stage... they'll find someone else I guess). Their work is called 'points de fuite'. I might go, don't know yet.
maguy marin
i am going. you should be the translator. why not?

Rosie,
Yeah, we say 'merde', meaning sheet, to say 'break a leg'. I don't know what I'm going to do there on stage, really... what have you convinced me to do??? I talked to the dancers today, they're really cool, but well, I don't think I can technically do the job, and there'll be 1200 people... fun no? I'll let you know. If I'm not dead before the end. Who's afraid of the ridicule anyway, it can be fun. I may have a ticket for you, not sure yet though.

So, how'd the show go?
maguy marin
Well, the show in itself was very strange. Very profound and challenging. So provocative that most po=eople were leaving during the show because they could not go through it. The translation afterwords was alright. I did it twice in a row. First night: awful, painful for me... second night: a lot better I thought. Well something I'll think about more than twice before I do it again...

i am sorry i kept talking you into it and then wasn't able to make it like i said i would. thanks for the invite. did they ask questions like we practiced? at least you gained knowledge of a new choreographer and brushed up on your dance terms and translation.
