Saturday night is alright?

So, I've forgone McCutcheon deejay-ing to stay home and read a book. I've got PBS on because they play old live music stuff on Saturday nights. Yes, I know this seems dull... but sometimes there's something good on.
Anyway, tonight started with Moody Blues way after their heyday. Not horrible. They are just all wrinkly and old. Plus, the stuff from the 80's sucked in my opinion.
And then, Roy Orbison. I'm not against his stuff. In fact, it's pretty standard lovesick oldie stuff.
So, I'm reading, reading, reading. I look up.
And there's Elvis Costello also onstage with him.
And every time I look up it's someone new. K.D. Lang, Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, that chick who sang that "Up Where We Belong" shit from "An Officer and a Gentleman"... and Tom Waits????
Damn.
Now, there's no music. Just a shot of a phone center with people begging you to donate $100.00
for a copy of the live c.d.
Shit. Maybe I should have gone down to Kincoras.
Naaaah...
