He is on the bus. He smokes more spliffs a day than most other people, famous or not. naked and famous he is Tricky. His new album, "Blowback", features a lot of pop stars. he has a new female vocalist, martina will always be missed..i don't think tricky will ever find a more mournful sexy and powerful female who absolutely consumes his music in one full swallow like martina.
rather than carry one about how "maxinequaye" was never bettered, or how "pre-millenium tension" destroyed the same sound that made him famous, (both might be true in some sense) i'll say that Tricky is still a genius making luscious music to live by. "where there's trust there'll be treats, when we fuck we'll hear beats." who else has heard blowback?
