Seriously - if I hadn't already worked on a playlist to burn for you mark I just might use this one - it might amuse people here... I thought it was funny.

Directions:
{If your life was a movie, what would the soundtrack be? So, here's how it works:
1. Open your music library
2. Put it on shuffle.
3. Press Play.
4. For every question, type the song that's playing.
5. When you go to a new question, press the Next button.
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool.
7. Don't skip songs.

My Movie: Or maybe just my sophmore year of college I dunno - the first and combination in general made me think of my exs Sarah and Corey

(1)Opening credits: "Sanctuary" - Dejure

(2) Waking up: "Creep" - Radiohead

(3) First day at school: "Hailgh, Hailgh, a lie, Hailgh" - Bright Eyes

(4) Fight song: "Burger Queen" - Placebo

(5) Breaking up: "Santeria" - Sublime
So this is obviously where I am so distressed I go see Charlie Blue - where a bunch of kids are sitting in this basement toking up...

(6) Happiness: "Can't Stop" - Vinylegroover Remix

(7) Life's okay: "Stripped" - Galvanized

(8) Mental breakdown: "Air-Conditioned Love" - Ludo
woah - so I guess this is a lesbian spurred love story ... oh wait... what? We mean college?...

(9) Driving: "Come As You Are" - Nirvana ...
awww... I would listen and sing along to that driving. Its the first song I learned to play on guitar...

(10 )Flashback: "Champagne Supernova" - Oasis

(11) Getting back together: "Give Me XTC" - random happy hardcore
okay - there I think I am not making up so much as finding someone else ...

(12) Wedding: "Lover I Don't Have to Love" - Biright Eyes (uh...)

(13) Birth of a child: "Yellow" - Coldplay

(14) Final battle: "Take Me to Wonderland" - random happy hardcore

(15) Death scene: "Dark Entries" - Bauhaus

(16) Funeral song: "Please, Please Please" - Fiona Apple

(17) End credits: "Strawberry" - Everclear

This sounds like wonderful fun. Thanks for posting it. However I am not yet an iPod child. And my speakers are broken. I can play vinyl on headphones and headphones only and the thing is I just never play vinyl on headphones. So I have a problem. Tomorrow I aim to go buy new speakers. This pain must end. And a record I ordered 2 weeks ago better fucking get here soon.

Cheers for mentioning records, Pixie. And it makes my old arse happy to know you are aware of a song like Bauhaus' Dark Entries. This must surely mean there is hope for younger generations! I have seen the light!

I want to rent out a Denny's and have a goth dance party with all the lights out and nothing but candles.

Champagne Supernova's one of the best Oasis tracks you could have chosen, as well.

haha but I didn't choose them - my iPod did; they are however all on the iPod.

Yeah - I thought of you last night since there was a really good punk bad at a local place. :)

oh and I have the hangover from *hell* that club last night at drinks ranging from $1 for draft to $3.50 martinis... arg...
a night of $3 only mildly watered down G&Ts and some 'tinis wasn't such a great idea. Or maybe I just should have eaten more than one meal at 1pm if I was going to drink ... 10-2

haha and the art on the walls was *awesome* I'm pretty sure that this isn't the exact artist but it's stuff like this

I just don't know about that art. It kindof grosses me out. But I guess everyone has different interpretations of art. What did you say? That fucking Martinis were $3 apiece? Jesus, that's a really cheap Martini. I feel for your hangover.

I've decided my lungs just aren't what they used to be. The week before last I smoked weed every single night of the week and I've hated myself ever since. I try to drink water during the day to clean my lungs but I can just feel they don't have the capacity they used to have. A little while ago I tried dancing aerobically to all of LCD Soundsystem's 45:33 but after about 20 min. I mean I was just out of breath. I hate it. I wish there was some drug I could take that would just clear my lungs out. Maybe I will take one of those primatene pills. That would really make me feel better. I don't even smoke cigarettes, haven't for a few years now.

Anyway I got new speakers today. They're Sony and they're not quite as big as my old ones, they're narrower. But hell, they were cheap and I'm happy. It's weird the JBL ones I saw were about the same size but twice the price. I don't understand that, really.

I've actually started to wonder lately if I should have an iPod. But you know, I just can't understand this concept of listening to mp3's in headphones. To me the purpose of mp3's is so you can receive and transmit them over the internet, or ripping things to your computer, whatever. There's a reason all that data is compressed - it's because of the internet. Data compression means lost sound quality by default. Once you have them, you convert them to the better sounding .wav format, and burn them to disc, or listen to them on computer speakers. I guess I don't have any problem listening to mp3's on computer speakers for awhile, but to do it in headphones, just seems...sacreligious somehow. I know, I'm a stubborn old fart.

I remember something Robyn Hitchcock said about iPods, something like "you know I really don't think it's necessary to have your entire record collection on your back all the time". I don't begrudge people having them and I'd love to have one for free that I could play with, but they really are about as far from good quality sound as you can get.

eh - I really like the iPod for walking to class otherwise I would walk at an all too lesiurely pace to get anywhere on time. They're also nice for running. And in the car - even though I want to tempt you to come see me since I am broke: the radio here isn't so great - if I have to be in the car for more than 15 minutes I want to have the option of the iPod.

The art was interesting.

... yup cheap drinks. That's why you should come here - so you can enjoy the $3 martinis with me. :D I promise I'm a cute drunk.
Tonight I ended up having an $8 margarita. It was worth it - but I can't get drunk; I am already hungover and I'm weraing an expensive white sweater: I'd HATE to puke on it.

That's funny. And I do declare I'm simply fed up with the people on the other board, especially the Americans.

I mean what a bunch of ego fuelled moronic crap they spew out. If only I was on the correct (British) sleeping schedule I could at least more easily keep track of whatever the Brits are up to these days on that board. There are a few bad apples, but nowhere near the ultimate stupidity of most of the Americans on that board.

As it is, I'm stuck being drunk at 10:40 pm when in Britain it's fucking 6:40 AM. NOT FAIR!!!!
