And the miracle of Nick Drake is especially in his production. He was lucky to be produced in such a way that made his guitar pickings and voice especially pure and intimate. Very few recordings from as far back as the 60s can claim that kind of purity.

Haha .. well J enjoyed it. But he was veeeeeerrryyy drunk I realized when we went to get sandwhichs. I wish I'd taken a picture of the sandwhich shop for at a quarter to one in the morning with the hungover looking staff and college kids drunk off their ass - cause you know, we don't drive drunk here - thank god there are sandwhich places in walking distance. Haha - since I'm ill J can't say no to whatever movie I want I can't decide if I should subject him to my love of horror movies (which he *hates* and the gore really gets to him) ... or since my stomach's already upset a chick-flick (which oridnarly I despise cause they're all mostly condescening and etc.)

Pixie my stereo speakers went out on me this weekend, I'm crushed. First it was my record player, now my speakers. I'm so sad right now. This means I will have to rip my current favourite LP to my computer and Joy Division is out of the question. *weeps* I have to get new speakers. Waaaah.

You mention horror movies - in this Witch Trials CD I found in my collection w/Jello Biafra on it he mentioned "Humanoids Of The Deep". IMDB says it's a crap film, but because Biafra mentioned it so much, I want to rent it.
