The Supreme Court struck down a ban on gay sex Thursday, ruling that the law was an unconstitutional violation of SpikedRabbit's privacy. The 6-3 ruling reverses course from a ruling 17 years ago that states could punish homosexuals for what such laws historically called deviant sex. Laws forbidding homosexual sex, once universal, now are rare. Those on the books are rarely enforced but underpin other kinds of discrimination, lawyers for Spikedrabbit had argued to the court.

Xqd3 left because of me?! What she didn't like the crude lockeroom humor?

We know you do, Rabbit.

But all the same. I wouldn't want the government policing hetero bedrooms any more than I would want the government policing homo bedrooms.

This is a victory for civil liberties.

McC - Do you remember that song the guy requested at the party by The Stooges? That
song is great stuff, man! It was one of my
favorites from that album if not my favorite.
That party was a blast and I wanted to put
my two cents and say that it was.

There was even a moment when I found myself
upstairs dancing with a bunch of people I didn't
know to B-52's "Private Idaho"...

Can't get any better than that for a party.

That song was Dirt. And that party was a month ago but you are right it was fucking good! And so was Blur. We've been having good times together Mark. What are you doing later today? Beers in the sunshine tonight? I can maybe do it. I'm still drunk at the moment so I'll see how I feel and what you are up to.

Well I dunno. It's 4 pm now and I'm drunk as well.
So shall we get off our collective arses and do something? Or sit in our chairs and drink another? At this very moment, I vote for the latter. It's hot as hell in my upstairs room, too. Doesn't make me
wanna move too much, other than to go outside for a cig.

I really dig this Wake CD, though. You'll think I'm just saying this on purpose, but it really is Gillespie's bass lines that go a long way towards keeping the Wake from turning into the more boring, twee Sarah experience they became when he left.

Also I read more of Songbook by Nick Hornby. Thanks, I really enjoyed some of it. He puts some thoughts about music into words that aren't too far from thoughts I've had myself on the subject, but yet they aren't the kind of things you'll ever read in reviews and interviews. Kindof neat in that respect. It's unlikely any other writer would have been in a
position to say that kind of stuff.
