Now here is a very, very good example of a band that folks in the U.S. are just painfully underexposed to. All we know is "I Want Candy" which is okay but it's only a cover for god's sake. It's only the tip of the iceberg, here. And merely because people were in the U.S. they were underexposed to this band, completely unaware of what they were capable of. I can think of another band like that, Soft Cell. We were totally underexposed to them, too, because all we know is "Tainted Love". Not that I'm a huge Soft Cell fan, I don't mean that, but "Bedsitter" is a great single that Americans missed entirely! Such is the new wave divide between the UK and the US. Which of course you couldn't give a fuck about!
My friend found a new pub in town which is supposed to be Scottish, if you can believe that, and he said they play punk music there. Isn't that wonderful?
