Political lyrics set to a groove you can dance to. What else can you ask for in this day and age? We're gonna beat the fuckers in the November elections! I love you all.

here's a song for mark, from sarah, with love :)
Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush: Don't Give Up
In this proud land we grew up strong
We were wanted all along
I was taught to fight, taught to win
I never thought I could fail
No fight left or so it seems
I am a man whose dreams have all deserted
I've changed my face, I've changed my name
But no one wants you when you lose
Don't give up
'Cause you have friends
Don't give up
You're not beaten yet
Don't give up
I know you can make it good
Though I saw it all around
Never thought I could be affected
Thought that we'd be the last to go
It is so strange the way things turn
Drove the night toward my home
The place that I was born, on the lakeside
As daylight broke, I saw the earth
The trees had burned down to the ground
Don't give up
You still have us
Don't give up
We don't need much of anything
Don't give up
'Cause somewhere there's a place
Where we belong
Rest your head
You worry too much
It's going to be alright
When times get rough
You can fall back on us
Don't give up
Please don't give up
Got to walk out of here
I can't take anymore
Going to stand on that bridge
Keep my eyes down below
Whatever may come
And whatever may go
That river's flowing
That river's flowing
Moved on to another town
Tried hard to settle down
For every job, so many men
So many men no-one needs
Don't give up
'Cause you have friends
Don't give up
You're not the only one
Don't give up
No reason to be ashamed
Don't give up
You still have us
Don't give up now
We're proud of who you are
Don't give up
You know it's never been easy
Don't give up
'Cause I believe there's a place
There's a place where we belong
In this proud land we grew up strong
We were wanted all along
I was taught to fight, taught to win
I never thought I could fail
No fight left or so it seems
I am a man whose dreams have all deserted

Heh heh. That's a great one. If only I had the fucking video. Which I probably don't.
Hey at least I'm not bombarding you with GOTH albums like Comsat Angels "Chasing Shadows" from 1986 produced by ROBERT PaLMER (of "addicted to love" fame) and he even sings on one track, and it's COOL, it's an amazing album only I haven't appreciated it again for 10 years now and I'm in shock. And do you know something we're talking GOTH here, folks. I'm talking HARDCORE JOY DIVISION. Who I played my video of last night.
Anyway Pixie called me she is on the way home and has a huge paper to write when she gets there. I can't fucking believe they drove 10 hours or more to go to a rave. That is fucking sad. That is America, man.
I want Maverick to die his hair black and wear a dog collar with spikes on it. We've got to get this place gothed up properly!!!

Well shit I don't have any of what's on it written down. It just has her with Peter Gabriel on some TV special where they sing Roy Harper's Another Day and stuff. It probably doesn't have "Don't Give Up" though. But that's okay because I will live.
And I was just thinking last night how godlike Peter Gabriel is/was, especially that live album from 1982. I mean there is some mighty god-like stuff on that.
