When is The Kills show? Where? I'll be in Seattle next month. Is that obnoxious gay bar still next to Kinkora's?

Kills is soon, not sure on the date. I'll post date when I can see. Gay bar still there. They get longer lines to get in than I do. Actually I usually only DJ to the bartender.

okidoki. I'll spend a Saturday listening to you dj as long as it's louder than screaming queens next door.

ugh. I haven't been to Seattle in almost 3 years. Has anything changed? Can you still smoke?

According to the latest Stranger, Polyphonic Spree are also doing a late 10 pm show Friday the 19th at Graceland also. I won't go because although I thought the album was fairly good, it pissed me off in the end so that I never wanted to play it again. Yes I'm talking about that last track that does one noise and goes on and on and on and on for like half an hour, or maybe it was just 20 min. It's one thing to be pretentious, another to be self-indulgent, but yet another just to be plain annoying for annoying's sake.

I'd like to go see the Kills, actually. I found out they're British in the end and I did like the one song I heard of them. But they are playing next Tuesday the 22nd at Graceland, and Tuesdays are one of the two or three worst nights of the week for me to do anything. Still, I might try to find a way...

Notwist I liked a song by them as well. Not sure I'd want to spend the money or time, though...depends. Did I miss them? I must have because I don't see them in the Chop Suey ad anymore.

Broadcast I'd already planned on seeing, but more for the opening band Adult. (yes it has a period at the end, the period is part of their name) That's kinda what I meant when I said way back when that I was listening to cheesy new wave. I mean they take old sounding early 80's synthesizers, add female deadpan vocals and well...they're just mighty interesting. Gary Numan would probably approve. They're from Chicago.

I used to have a Broadcast CD single or EP once, it's not as if I expect them to suck, I just never followed up on their stuff after that.
