the special bus

Post by Jack Chiefton »

So I haven't really been able to think of any new worthy individuals who belong on the bus. However, I think the same old passengers are getting sick of each other and need some fresh intellect to keep them aroused. Some individuals that come to mind include: the revolutionary Sioux Crazy Horse ( protecting himself and his people from the tyrants, hey some things never change, and all other revolutionaries for that matter), Terrence Mckenna (the late apocalyptic psychedelic doctor), Dr. Hunter S. Thompson (often times intoxicated outlaw journalist), Jack Kerouac (notorious mamma's boy whose liver exploded on his mothers carpet in a bloody mess of vomit and waste), that midget porn star, Diego Maradona (all time football/soccer great who loved his cocaine), and this last one that I hold a special place in my heart: Sprecher Beer, the last good beer standing in Wisconsin because as the saying goes "what made Milwaukee famous." This list may sound juvenile, tasteless, or worthless, but hey, how many really decent/interesting people/things have lasted over time?

As a southernor ... I am scorned for my utter distaste for the old N*scar. It'll be even worse in a few months ..... they're planning on building the sport's museum in my home county. A lot of the old racers like David Pearson were from this area. I still hate it.

myke

PS -- I think all the regulars here should be on the bus and get their own little synopsis by Sloth or McCutcheon. I likely would not make the grade and even if I did I'd get a scathing review. Hey ... at least I sing my own song so to speak. And I used to drive school bus to make extra money in college!

I'm with you there myke. Not a fan of the races -- I've been to two, ****** and motorcross, they were both pretty much the anti-fun of experiences.

I was confused too Rosie and felt like spelling out the word "fucking" for anyone afraid to use it here, but then I realized that the word being blanked out is the word that starts with an 'N' that has to do with car racing. At least that's what Myke leads one to believe in his post. Am I right?

Myke I think when you grow up around something it can kindof become a 'familiarity breeds contempt' situation...I know I felt this way about a certain snobby yuppie university in my hometown...

And how could I forgot Dylan? You have the Canadian version of Dylan on the bus, why not the real thing? That's perplexing! It's making me smoke my eyelids and I wanna punch my cigarettes!
