Bulletin Board of Bad Behavior

You see, now I don't mean to generalize, but GENERALLY when the Brits do "white reggae" I get really excited, that is like...my thing, man. POST PUNK HEAVEN.

Everyone knows "Message In A Bottle" and "Walking On The Moon" but strangely, when I sat there drunk and dazed after seeing the very most amazing band in rock and roll ever called The Stooges at Bumbershoot, I found listening to this Police album kept my mind sufficiently occupied on my discman until the bus FINALLY came to take me home. Now, the Police are not as good as the Stooges (sadly, truly, nothing is, I learned that, not even my favourite band is as good as the Stooges, I learned that, you see) but it really helped me on the way home, this awful bus ride, drunk and dazed at seeing the Stooges and too many people on the bus but this Police album helped me through it on my discman.

And I still love the album now, even in the privacy of my own home. Even if I will soon have to put on the Stooges.
For they have just reissued their classic "Funhouse" album, quite possibly the best rock and roll album by any U.S. band ever, no lie - they have just reissued it with bonus tracks.

I'll have to check out the Stooges. Never heard them, but I am a big fan of all ofthe police albums, especially the more punk-reggae sounding songs on them, so I'd probably like them.

Well, to be honest there's not much reggae about Stooges. More balls-to-the-wall, loud punkish rock and roll. I'm happy you're willing to give 'em a try, though.

I used to be into all that hardcore punk stuff. It's been a while since I listened to anything like that, but recently when I went to see McCutcheopn DJ at a bar in Brooklym, one ofthe other DJ's was wearing a Dag Nasty T-shirt. THat's a punk band I hadn't even thought of in like 18 years, but just seeing the logo brought it all back. I kind of miss the punk thing. I wonder if I'd still like it now that I'm all old and stuff? We'll see.
