I actually meant to call you tonight, Pixie, I specifically made a mental note about it earlier this afternoon. I'm sorry it slipped my mind but I only just got started around 10 when I finally finished my homework. I've had a lot of real world money/job/school worries to obsess on today. It's now 2:14 am. If I call now I will just wake you up. So I fucked up. It's not gonna happen tonight either. But it can still happen tomorrow night IF you are free. Please tell me you are, it is a holiday and everything. I've even got a phone card this time!
It's been awfully hot here the last few days. It's hard to even think straight during the day.

Marky - I am SO up... I do'nt have a job. Well it's about 5 something here now but eh.
I'm all drugged up as usual these days and in a boy's bed. I think I've just gotten myself into a realtionship.
I don't know ... but yes, I'm gonna be up at stupid hours so you should call. lol I'd call youb ut I'm afraid I'll wake you. Since I haven't been sober in a month or so I'm cool with calling people in general now

Lie to me, it takes less time to drink you pretty.
You posted only an hour after me again!! Second time that's happened. As soon as I finally give up and pass out for the night, you come around. Argh.
Well it's pretty early now. I will try calling you in a second here. As soon as I finish my alloted amount of beer. I've only had 3 so far. I have to have 4 before I start calling people.
McC - are you out there? Hey, I really recommend the Jilted John album "True Love Stories". I don't know if you can get it on vinyl anymore, but you might try. At first I thought it was just a bit overly cute, but damn if it doesn't have some nice catchy tunes to throw on at a Manchester night. There's some songs toward the end of the CD that remind me of Vini Reilly/Martin Hannett in places...it's not clear how much Hannett (or even Vini) might have helped John out (well, actually Jilted John's real name was Graham Fellows). The vital Hannett discography website went down awhile back, sadly and the credits on the CD aren't extensive, but it WAS Hannett's label that released Jilted John's records originally (Rabid Records). This is of course very important information which you must take down on paper immediately because you will be tested. Hahaha. NOT!
For those of you I may have inadvertently confused, once again, please refer to the film "24 Hour Party People" and all will be much clearer.

Quoting from the CD booklet now:
"So I phoned Rabid up, and they told me to send in a demo. We did the demos with the late Colin Goddard - of Walter & The Softies [Marky sez: who dat?] - on guitar, and the drummer and bass player of the Smirks [Marky sez: not sure I've heard of Smirks either, even if they are here in my book]. I took it along to Rabid, who loved it...so we re-recorded it a few days later at Pennine Studios, with John Scott playing guitar and bass, and MARTIN ZERO (A.K.A. MARTIN HANNETT) PRODUCING. Martin did a great job creating the vocal choruses and that bass pattern before the "'here we go, two three four' bit."
Well, in this case it's talking about the Jilted John self-titled single, with "Going Steady" on the b-side. But that's all it says about Hannett. It doesn't even tell who produced the rest of the album. SO SAD! But there is this song called "Karen's Letter" that I am convinced has Hannett's touch. I mean I oughta know it when I hear it by now, and that is it, I'd swear by it.
