new Coldplay album

Post by marky »

Well it's been too long since anyone mentioned
music here, so I'll drop my two cents in and
say that I'm totally surprised by how good the new Coldplay album is. I never cared much about them before. I've just been playing it over and over and over. But my guess is no one else here would be much into it. Oh well.

okay boys if I spend 20 bucks for the vinyl and it sucks I'm coming after you. Last night I was celebrating the finishing of my novel and was gulping champagne and playing Evil Heat by Primal Scream -yesterday down here we broke the heat wave record, it was 108 which is like almost 50 in Europe, anyway I was dancing around to Autobahn 66 (perfect fucking name incorpurating both Kraftwerk and the saucy rock n roll theme of Route 66) and I was thinking, hmmm, I wonder if Spikedrabbit likes Primal Scream. so Rabbit do you? and you better say YES! just kidding.

oh i forgot to mention I walked outside yesterday night at around 9 pm when it was only 99 degrees with champagne and ciggie in hand and passed out. I blacked out and fell and hit my head and Amanda said i almost went over the railing. Now my shoulder is all scratched up. Evil Heat indeed!

Again, your musical tastes impress me Mc. I have downloaded a few songs and have grown quite fond of them as i sit and listen to bitchy canadians here @ work. It seems to take the edge off.

Hey Rabbit (Or is that with just one 'b'? I
can't get it straight, sorry) How is that kazaa
anyway? I just got myself a beefed up computer
finally and I am having a BALL with all the new
things I can do!! For one thing, no more freezing
when I come to this website!! Image Anyway I've been
looking for file sharing software but I can't seem to find a consensus online about which program is the best. Are there ads on kazaa? Pop-ups? Does it have what they call "spyware"? Does it cost anything? Are there enough people sharing to make it worthwhile? Anyone else care to give their input on this? I realize I may sound like a real newcomer when it comes to this stuff but there have just been things to get in my way in the past and this is the first time I've had a real chance at doing this stuff. Now if I can just
convince my roomate to get a cable modem I can listen to beloved John Peel again. Come to think of it, Sloth! Bring me some tapes of John Peel! Ha ha...

kazaa is pretty good, probably the best out there right now. they say there is no spyware, but who knows nowadays.... but it is by far my p2p of choice.

the singer is an annoying berk who spends too much time worrying about losing his hair. the rest of the band is unglamourous and uninteresting. the music sometimes sounds like U fucking 2, and there is even a trace of gordon fucking lightfoot to be heard every 30 minutes or so.

so, i was going to say that the group is full of itself, or worse. but then i discovered the second record is good listening while driving a car. soon, i found the second record is also good to listen to while running, and even good as background music while working.

chris martin has a first class ability to switch from falsetto to normal voice, and back. recently i found they are selling the first record for 9 bucks and, looking over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching, got it and then listened to it nonstop. they have a way with melodies and they are not self-pitying wankers like radiohead is.

i play the cds pretty often and will probably hate them in a year's time or so. the music is not good as accompaniment for sex but it is still pretty beautiful, all in all.

When it comes to Coldplay I like that song Green Eyes very much. But as a band they are boring suckers. Give me Oasis, but then again when was the last time Oasis wrote a great fucking song. I mean go back and listen to 'Do yer wanna be a Spaceman? never made it on an album and is better than most bands hits. Oasis blew it by not putting the B-sides from the first two albums into thier own albums. Now they don't do anything for me, but I'm waiting.

You don't like the new one?

Maybe you need to hear them in concert in London. They rocked Finsbury Park, that's for sure. Spaceman is one of my favorites too.

I can still remember listening to those singles in Paris is '93 and drinking bottles of wine. Maybe that's what you miss the most.

Have fun in Wisconsin. See you soon.

word is that gwyneth paltrow is all hots for the coldplay singer guy (chris martin). in fact she is calling him the love of her life. (if you can believe the UK media). is this unfair or what?

you can't believe the UK media.

But I feel sorry for poor Gwyneth Paltrow, such a classy lady losing her beaus in pubic to girls like J.Lo and that Friends actress Jennifer Aniston, both beauties with, let's just say, a few more curves.
