Can

I've been getting into Can's Ege Bamyasi album lately. I bought it like a year ago and other than the song "Vitamin C" being unforgettable, I pretty much filed it away until now. Certainly they were very influential but I never thought I'd be into them, really.

where i live, can is a heavy influence, baby.

everybody listens to the records and ex-can members do all kinds of wonderful stuff, live, every now and then.

in fact, my drinking not-quite-buddy boris recently went on a tour with jackie liebezeit. great stuff.

speaking of which, sparklehorse is coming to town next week! you can be sure i'll be there, watching mark linkous and his band.

Oh I proceeded to go equally crazy over Tago Mago if not more so. 18 years after I first heard the Fall song "I Am Damo Suzuki" now I finally know what song Mark E. Smith based it on. ("Oh Yeah")
Incredible stuff. I see so many of my favorite artists in Tago Mago, all rolled up into one.

Well good heavens, I thought you had just intentionally made it up to be funny. It was a good play on words.
