Unfortunately, the new Primal Scream does nothing for my hangovers.

FUCK HANGOVERS!

I was invited to a party last night with a bunch of rich people from Accenture. They were all cool. But I guess they bought cheap wine. Or else I drank too many bottles of it.

A few Americans were there. Can't say I run into that many Americans any more. Can't say I mind. Although many of the Americans you meet living abroad are fun to hang out with. Expats. My beloved expats.

They tell me that in America no one wants to work abroad. They can live in Europe as long as they want because they don't even have enough people to fill the posts that are reserved for Americans. Can you imagine not wanting to work abroad?

WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE... FUCKING MORONS?

NOT WANTING TO WORK IN LONDON?

WHAT KIND OF SICK BASTARD WOULDNT WANT THAT?

Hope you dont mind if I throw in my two bob here but I totally agree with you about the lack of Americans working in London or anywhere outside of America for that matter. Dont get me wrong, I love Americans and I think they have much to offer, like great TV, and I cant think of anything else right now but I grew up in Melbourne and there was this one American kid who came to our school and it was such a novelty for us because most kids had never met an American and then we embraced the American and it was great and we thought that maybe he would tell the other Americans about life outside of America and we waited and waited and still, no more Americans arrived. Heaps of bloody Canadians though. I'm not sure what my point is.

Okay I'm hungover again now... this shit isn't funny anymore...

Ever notice how when you are hungover for two days in a row the second day is way more tolerable? Human beings can get used to anything. The excrutiating becomes normal.

People live with knives in their back. With parasites swimming in their bloodstream. With neurotoxins in their pint glasses. And bronchodilators and cigarette smoke in their lungs.

I am not anti-american. I am not anti-anything. But give me a break.

H. if you lived in Europe your rent would scale depending on how much money you made. Education for your daughter through post-graduate would be free. The doctors and hospitals would also be free and you would get a month of paid vacation every year. I am not making this shit up its the truth.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention 12 bank holidays per year (paid) and better social security and welfare. Plus the buildings are old and look nice and you have reliable public transportation so you can see them.

In short, it pays to be eurotrash.

So if you need any help persuading AT&T or Nordstroms's or wherever you work to open in Europe I will help. You cannot petition the lord with parayer. But anything helps.

more than my usual share lately) but since you touched a nerve here I will give my side of the story. Remember...this is BUSH's war. It's not MY war because I am in America. It's not even Congress' war yet. Geez, if enough of you out there abroad don't get that straight, I might just HAVE to leave here and join you!

I hate that fucking son of a bitch (I'm sorry but somehow 'son of a Bush' just doesn't cut it anymore - I'd take his father for president any day over him) and it's caused me no small amount of irritation that all around the world, *I'm* going to have to take the heat for *his* bullshit, simply because I am an American. I would at least like to think an 'ex-pat' would be slightly more understanding than that. I never said I wouldn't want to work in another country. I just hadn't given much thought as to how the hell that would happen. Certainly no one has ever offered me such an opportunity, and the one time I was over there, I couldn't even find a decent job. I'm actually pretty envious of your position as an ex-pat in London. Looks like I'm not the only one here who is.

I agree, Rabbit, about Canadians with no sense of urgency. I think that's what bugged me when I was up there, too.

Well Mark my only point I think was to encourage people to go abroad if they get a chance and not be ostriches with their heads in the sand.

But I think a lot of that message got lost in the hangover flamebaiting and trolling.

And I will be back in the good ole Northwest in one month with my Swedish fish and we can all work on those hangovers together. For a year or two anyway and then its Paris until I die which hopefully will not be for a long time.

well... be honest sloth. you don't want TOO many Americans living and working abroad. isn't that why you left this melting pot so you wouldn't have to watch some 300 pound sasquatch dig her teeth into a macdonalds big mac ever again? because if more americans start moving abroad, there's going to be more executive and corporate americans moving with grandiose erections of polluting the european streets with even more macdonalds and popeyes chicken and waffles.

I'm glad to find fresh confirmation that Jack knows that spliff is, after all, omnipresent in its own ubiquitousness.

I am almost to 200 pounds again. Even though I swim almost every day. You see I eat nothing but pizza and drink like 8 pints a day too many.

For those who are curious...

Sometimes when I can't breathe clearly I think I am getting throat cancer and that I should stop smoking hash laden cigarettes all day and then drinking and smoking cancer sticks all night.

And I'd expound more on that subject except I gotta go meet my mates down the pub. Alcohol kills the pain of my hangover and then... well you guys are Pax Acidus readers... so you know the rest.

europe is good but it's too full of tourists.

it wouldn't be better if more americans were there because they are too loud in foreign social situations.

brits are difficult, because if they are working class then they don't like you turning their pubs into fucking tourist spots and if they are middle class they are wankers.

krauts fucking stink. except for my many dear friends and i miss them.

the US is fine for me at the moment, even though i am in canada right now, which is turning chinese. and they have bad manners.

as a matter of fact, i am sitting in a chinese-run internet cafe in vancouver, and they are not nice, perhaps because i have been trying to disprove what mc scandalously said about me, namely that i was a light drinker. but what the hell, nobpdy is witnessing this so it is pointless and i guess i will never drink him under the table except on my home turf. kisses to all
