About Joy Division, and 24 Hour Party People. You know the scene where Ian Curtis has hung himself, and there's a chicken dancing on the T.V. to this ridiculous music? I found out the reason for that because I recently rented the movie Stroscek (directed by Werner Herzog) which I've known for years was the movie Ian C. watched the night he offed himself. I've wanted to see this movie for years, just never got around to it or found a video store that had it (god I love Scarecrow).
And at the end of this movie, which is extremely
depressing, they have this chicken dancing. There he was, right getting ready to go to America for the first time and he watches this movie on T.V.
about a guy who goes to America and sees his entire life fall apart and kills himself. So Ian
follows suit. As if he took the movie as a warning. It's fucked up.
