The Mike story. Even though it has a moral, it seems to be a corehent piece. The other stories are, uh, plainly the work of a psychotic mind. I don't think they could printed anywhere.
Getting back to the Michael story, your anti-hero drinks too much and then drives into a tree splitting his head open. Why? Is this what actually happened to 'Michael' in real life?
Well in a story, why not have him form a rock band, sleep with a million girls and then fly a plane into the Pentagon and wipe out the rest of those cocksuckers that Al Quaida missed? Have him kill you for betrayal? Rob liquor stores and shoot random people?
Fiction is supposed to be a free art form. Even if the story is based upon a true event, you are allowed to indulge. To make it end like a Mother Against Drunk Driving afternoon special is a bit sad.
As for making an impact here, the biggest way to make an impact is to learn to write, organize your thoughts, get published somewhere else, and then come back and tell us all to go fuck off.
You are still young enough to do it. I couldn't write for shit until I was 27. Some people tell me I still can't. I'll show those cunts... get the idea?
