Well a news story was quoted as saying he appeared to have died of natural causes, but some on the music freak message board were like "yeah, right."

Rick James was recently quoted as saying:
"God sat me down to pay attention. Then he told me to get back up and hit the stage and I'm enjoying it."
Then this happened...
On the morning of August 6, a caretaker discovered that Rick James had died in his Los Angeles home of natural causes. He was 56-years-old.
God damn. 56? Dying of natural causes? I only got 23 years left to be naturally alive!
