Pilsner Urquell

Post by Sloth »

Pax Acidus's favorite golden beer has a website.

They have the history of the beer along with a few cool trivia facts such as:

The beer is pronounced "Pilsner UrkWell", just like it looks.

"Urquell" in Czech means 'original'

"Pivo" is the Czech word for beer. Literally it means: "most ordinary and widespread drink"

I love that stuff. Drank 5 bottles of it while watching the match yesterday. Still the Greeks won. They are still smashing plates over heads in Astoria.

Samischlaus (sp.?)

The worlds strongest beer and brewed only once a year.

Had it in some NYC bar that had a international beer menu...over 4 pages worth!!

Hey, why don't you make some rock mixes and post them on the music section? All the mixes on there are super old and all electonic. That's cool and all, but I've heard them all. And since I don't have the patience to research mucic like Mark, I need Paxacidus to tell me what I should be listening to...

Weekdays

Post by Tom »

July kinda sucks for me getting into the city during the week.

I'm in the office at 6am this whole month...

So-let me know if you ever end up DJ'ing fri-sun...

Anyway-if not-we'll have to make plans for some Guiness drinking somewhere one weekened.

Shit-I want to talk to you about some of the record shopping you've done. I only have bought/spun house...and I'm dying to know more about finding some of the stuff that you say you've found/bought....ie-primal scream/happy mondays...etc.
