I am the sloth.

Not like in the animal but like in the deadly sin.

I am as talented as any writer in the history of the world - but too lazy finish anything other than a spliff or a bottle of pills or a drink.

So there.

I write bad poetry, fall for bad men, and have a bad habit of injuring myself on a regular basis. The last one only happens when maverick is around though, so as long as I avoid him, all is well.

I am not Jack, but rather closer to Brett. And John Lurie stole my idea with his fishing with John films. Granted he could find guests that people actually care to see, but he still stole my idea.

I just registered a day or so ago, but Ive been reading Pax Acidus for some time now. Startin to feel so much like I almost know you all, felt the need to introduce myself and say hi. Anyone else around here from CA? Seattle is awesome, been there a few times, but obviously, unfortunately, am not now. Ill post again when I have somethin worthwhile to say. Til then, everybody take it easy!

I am also kind of new, although I have read and known some of the illustrious Paxacidians for a bit. I live in Seattle, although I did put in a pretty good amount of time in Southern California, Los Angeles, to be specific. As far as artistic endeavors go, I act, write, and direct for film and/or theatre, although these days I spend more time losing at tennis to McCutcheon or watching h. hurt herself during spitied games of drunken soccer-basketball...I'm formulating a plan for a Paxacidus Summer Camp...more to come on that...

What Maverick wants is everyone to meet up in the south of France in August. I heard there are no tourisits at that time of year. But really, let's get a chateau. Dreams, dreams, dreams.

Seriously, a show of hands...who would think it would be a good idea to get a good amount of people that you actually want to be around, your favorite music, plenty of alcohol and/or chemicals of choice, a great location, sexy people, weather that makes people want to be naked...?

I'm getting excited just thinking about it. If anyone's interested, talk McCutcheon and the Sloth into making it happen with their Paxacidus magic...I mean, how much could a chateau cost to rent anyway?

martino the name, by frank, out of elizabeth. i am pretty good at hiding my general feeling of desperation.

i just got back from a long vacation, during which i could not pax acidate. first in the pyrenée mountains in france near spain, where catalonian people eat enormous amounts of the most delicious food and wine you could imagine. we drove down to the beach daily, which was charmingly strange, because most -- but not all -- people were naked, no matter whether they were thin or fat, old or young, pretty or awfully ugly. all kinds of freaky bodies but nary a tattoo or pierced body part was to be seen. i tried to play touch football naked but that is a silly little story i will tell some other time.

the likes of dalí and picasso made this area their home so it would be a fitting pax acidus hangout. mountain huts for rent, cheapo.

then we visited friends in the alps, near the reichenbach falls where moriarty killed holmes, sherlock not john. there were some magical woods nearby with the most tasty mushrooms. stayed in a giant chalet with room for 14, not bad at CHF 130 per night. cheese is made next door and cows moo to you in the morning.

i have no artistic abilities but read a fantastic book about john cassavetes during the vacation. i always loved his films but now he is on my (quite short) hero list. that's all for now, got to read my mail and make some money. i will come to seattle pretty soon.
