bloody hell, this pride thing is something to swallow!
Yeeeeah, I had to work today. On my way home I got rerouted. Gee, isn't it interesting that somehow my reroute takes me to the front door of Tony the tiger's place where smoker sits with a big "WAX ON" banner and Rosie and Mc are sitting out front (along with a bondage bee, the cutest gay guy on earth, and a couple of drag queens...}
I somehow got mixed up with this lot and ended up playing no-rule basketball behind a bar with Mc, Rosie, and Ralph.
I am now the latest injury for the day. A day of much fun and many injuries. I think Mc and Rosie have to share those stories because I am the lame ass who couldn't make it... But it was a hell of a lot of fun. I'll be thinking happy thoughts as I dig this rock out of my big toe knuckle. Though now Mc, you laying atop me holds a whole new, violent and unsportsmanlike meaning.
I know you're jealous of my outside shots, bitch!

I'm thinking less happy thoughts now that I've sobered up enough to notice that my elbow doesn't bend right and my kidneys may have burst. I'm going to kick Mc's ass next time we play ball. Bet on it.

Well, I've been threatening to post for a while, and now the time has come. No longer will I be called a voyeur by McCutcheon and others who know I read the alternately poignant, humorous, sad, grotesque, and sexy messages but never post anything. It isn't that I have nothing to say...quite the contrary, but I was attempting to avoid being sucked in as so many have been. Soon I may find myself waking in the morning, my first thought to check the BBBB to see what judgement my fellow Paxacidians have passed on my latest post, or returning from an evening of alcoholic indulgence only to log in and incoherently ramble about...oh why fight it. Maverick is here and shall henceforth make his presence known.

To the point, the impetus that finally made me take the leap...The Gay Pride Parade, the vehicle lovingly known as "Smoker", and the cast of characters that made my day.

Although the float in the Parade was not a Paxacidus creation, it seemed to contain all of the traits that I have come to recognize as things close to the Paxacidus family's hearts...Alcohol, although not nearly enough for the appetites present, a smattering of chemicals, although not nearly enough...you get the picture, sexy women, sexy men, Wit, drama, intrigue, and a bit of sport (even though holly was wounded). Being the videographer of the event, I had a unique perspective...I was part of it and an outsider at the same time. When the camera was up to my eyes, I was invisible, there to record the happenings, but when I pulled it away, I joined the group, and met some of the most interesting people I've met in a while. Bondage bees and Anna Rexia, Emma God and Anna Banana, not to mentio nthe always interesting people I already knew...Rosie, McCutcheon and others. Although the atmosphere was apparently much less festive than in previous Pride Parades, and all of our energy was sapped by having to wait at idle for an hour and a half to actually get on the parade route smelling out own exhaust, and that we were despised by many of the earthier types along the route who flung insults at us for polluting Mother earth, It was worth it all.
Over beers and rainy soccer/basketball afterwards I had the potentially alcohol enhanced feeling of wellbeing that comes with being with friends, and it reminded me to be thankful that I have found such a collection of hedonists to hang out with.

This is most likely the nicest thing you'll ever see me post on this site, so enjoy it while you can, and look out all of you tree-huggers out there.

Well put.
Just keep your alter ego in check cause I haven't seen him yet and don't know that I want to.
I'd like to play a game of scattergories (sp?) with the little pax group soon, provided I am not injured playing a board game.
Rosie will have to be my date since she's so hot satan can't touch her, ssssssss....
Be good, kids. I'm taking my broken butt to bed now.

Ah, Holly, I believe you are confusing Maverick with Gavan...Mav is not so much an alter ego, as an image, a cloak to simultaneously hide behind, and present to the world. Gavan, on the other hand, qualifies as an alter ego...a character at once more interesting, and often scarier than my normal personna. But he has been know to be quite the ladies man, but McCutheoun will never believe that. He didnt get the best first impression, but I assure you, Gavan takes good care of his friends...by the way, Bondage bee a cute gay man?

Dammnit, this is exactly what I feared...a member for less than six hours, and I'm already posting again...

Thanks Jack, and then...wait a minute did you say Gillis, also, not the best leading lady ever. Yes, I now recognize the homoeroticism that escaped me as a naive pilot wannabe. The fact remains, the music gets the heart going, and when those planes scream by, to quote Hollywood "stop it, I'm getting a hard on"

But the best reason to choose Maverick as my nom de plume..."The first time? Crashed and burned. THe second? Ask me tomorrow"

I feel the need, the need for speed.

sorry, my last post got messed up, and I'm too tired to fix it. Suffice it to say I was defending top gun from the perspective of a naive, airstruck teenage boy. That boy is still a part of me, even though now I prefer darker movies like Blade Runner or Donnie Darko, and think that whoever thought making "Behind Enemy Lines" was a good idea should be shot.

Ha ha, Martino. "wax" poetic. How fitting. Mav, you probably drank too much before you read my post. Bondage bee was in a series, all followed by commas, of the people I saw in front of Tony's place. Reread and I think it'll make more sense.
As for your alter ego, wasn't meaning the maverick one, doll. I was meaning Gaven, just wasn't being clear.
As for Cheifton, he doesn't bite too much. Take it with a grain of salt. He's here to cause necessary friction and we all love him for that.
