I think Marky was trying to be funny because I think he meant to imply that to get a strong reaction from that U2 ballad you had to be on acid. It made me laugh anyway. Ah who am I kidding there was a time there in '87 or so that I thought it was cool too.

i think i realize that, but the joke made no sense and thus i didn't think it was funny b/c i specifically said "i was driving around getting high", so to then promptly ask if i was on acid right after i said i was on dope sounds kind of retarded. why not instead say something that actually makes sense, like "you're driving around getting high too much if you actually like that song". that statement would actually not sound retarded.

That's funny. The girl who drives around getting high is calling someone else retarded. You very funny girl.

I would rather drive with a high Kitten than with a retarded person any day.
I rememeber as a kid we used to get beer and drive around drinking because we were afraid if we stopped and drank anywhere we would get caught.
Ha ha. That's fucking funny. Oh youth. Driving and getting high at the same time. I am a much better driver when I'm high. That's what they all say. What about getting a retarded person high and then having him drive you around?

I'm a better driver when I'm high
Otherwise I'm too spastic hehe... it's not me that's a bad driver it's the other fucking idiots on the road...
But, as a result, I just don't drive. I'd rather spend my money on other things anyway, like going to greece again in June or something.

Actually I've been practicing being more brief in my posts lately. Hadn't anyone noticed?
What I really meant was...it seemed strange (to me anyway) that someone would say they hadn't heard With Or Without You in such-and-such "long time" because I feel like I've heard that song 7 zillion times in my life and at least once a year on the radio in situations where I hadn't even been the one to choose the station. I have no problem with the song itself, really, it's definitely better than some on the Joshua Tree album but not as good as others.
Joshua Tree is an interesting album to me because whereas when it came out, I was one really crestfallen U2 fanatic, it proved to wear very well with age when compared to their later work. I remember hearing it again in this rather dumb guy's flat in Salford in '91 and getting high and thinking "it's amazing how well this album has worn with age".
But when I first read your post Kitten, I could only relate to being truly moved once again by that over-played song if I was on acid, so in a way I was hoping that the "With-or-Without-You-Acid-Experience" I had formed already in my imagination had in fact, manifested itself in reality for *you*.
But no matter, I thank you for sharing anyway, and respect your own experience. Welcome to Paxacidus.

Yes I remember testing fate as a teenager. Driving high isn't nearly as dangerous as drunk, though. Driving high, you just forget where the fuck you are, even in familiar surroundings.

There's a song by the Pogues called "The Body of An American". It perfectly expresses my feelings about the war in Iraq.

The worst part about driving high on the highway is you always miss your exit.
Kitten I hope things work out but you painted such a bleak picture I'm not sure how it can. If I was single I would invite you to Seattle but I can't see Linda letting an 18 year old female model named kitten stay over. Sorry.

kitten, i am going to NC tomorrow to do my safety dance with my best buddy -- I hope you've got one of those who knows that dance. If not let me know I'll post my email and I'll read you some poetry or a story.

What??
"the cops are about to take my 4 siblings away from my parents, my mom is having a nervous breakdown, my dad is not home and doesn't care about the entire thing, and he is head of our state taxes so the newspaper people keep coming over and harassing us. now i can't even graduate and go to college. i probably won't even have this computer much longer"
what does this mean?
and last night I had a weird dream. at one point I lived in a house with Sloth, Zac my brother, Julia and Lina, Julia and Lina are the two girls in the top left corner-- and I was walking around the house in the dream 420 Malden Ave, the place were Pax Acidus really took off and so did a few lines back in the time, our Sexy years, as you will, but in the dream I walked around and no one would talk to me and I couldn't figure it out, but then it hit me, everybody is now married but me. It is sorta wierd, but probably only to me.
