Yeah! New Order are my favorite band in
the universe and "Vicous Streak" is one
of my two faves on the new album!

I know Mc will disagree but I say New Order is the only band that got better when their lead singer died.

Oh ooH the ignorance I have to put up with. New Order's singer never died. I think you mean Ian Curtis, the GOD! He was the singer of Joy Division. He died, in May 1980. The rest of the group went on to form New Order. And I thought you saw the film 24 hour party people.

That song "Every Time I See You" is not
called that. True to New Order tendency, it's
called something that is never said in the
song - "Bizarre Love Triangle". Good song
but not one of my faves of them by any
stretch.
I'm thrilled that the 24 Hour Party People
film is indeed gonna make it over here in
August. I read Ian Brown went to see it and
gave it his stamp of approval. I'm glad to
hear people like it a lot because the idea
of having the whole Factory thing recreated
by actors does sound a bit daunting on the
face of it.
The new New Order single from the film sucks, though...b-side is much better. I recently
found a 1981 vinyl bootleg of New Order. Boy
was I happy.

Ignorance? Of course I knew Ian Curtis was never in New Order. The remark was of course meant to be blasphemous provocative and get a reaction so I guess I suceeded there.
When you see the film you will notice that while everyone is mourning the death of Ian, the rest of the band are busy recording new material almost from day one. They almost seem happy its over.
Its funny that the movie ends up being about Tony Wilson because the two stars, Curtis and Ryder, are too fucked up to have proper movies about them.
Ian Curtis comes across as a psychotic dark poet incable of life, and Shaun Ryder comes across as a psychotic loony toon incapable of anything except taking drugs and causing mayhem.
Tony Wilson comes across as a posh twat from Oxford with bad business sense and no taste in furniture.
No more talk about movies until AOTC

Attack of the Clones
What a movie!
Did anyone lese see it?
It was really good. Annakin fucks Natalie Portman and then gets his arm cut off by that bad wizard from Lord of the Rings. Then Yoda gets aggro with a light saber and kicks his ass. Truly the finest scene is cinema history.
Ewen McGregor replicates Alec Guinness cool and drinks blue liqueur in a bar scene that is even better than the one in Star Wars.
Jules from Pulp Fiction is now a jedi master and kicks ass in a roman colloseum contest. He kills Boba Fett's father Jenga, who is played by the crazy lead from from Once Were Warriors.
The special effects are incredible and Jar Jar puts out a very special performance worthy of an oscar.
Okay well maybe not but at least the effects were great.
Is it out in the States yet? It totally kicks ass.
