Sloth, I think it's about time we figured out how to get my login name back to just "Mark". I never really was down with this "marky" thing, it just happened that way due to a mistake, long story, blah blah blah. I know you asked me at Christmas time whether I wanted to switch it back and I just said "ah who cares?" but I'm starting to care now. If there's a DJ Marky out there, I don't want to be mixed up with him. Whoever he is, he deserves not to be mixed up with me, and vice versa.
No, Mav I can't say I'm a drum and bass man. I'd love to help you with a soundtrack...when I was in high school I was all gung ho about figuring out music to score this presentation we were supposed to do in my English class, but in the end my group just discounted anything I wanted to do with the music because I was too weird for them, I guess. I can't say I was totally crushed, but it was certainly a disappointment. One of the guys in my group was from Norway. I asked him about some Norwegian bands he'd never heard of. This just proves I'm insane.
Unfortunately now I'm off the Chic stuff and back into the obscure punk. This is a problem because my hero Mr. Punk trading buddy in Canada is too busy with his job to send me anything until June! How will I survive?!
I just gotta mention this one punk track I found, though, because it's so damn funny. It's by Jack Tragic and the Unfortunates (what a name) and it's called "I Kill Hippies". He does this weird scary thing with his voice, it's like Black Sabbath having a bad hair metal day. It's from a compilation of Connecticut/Mass. punk bands called "Guillotined At The Hangar: Shielded By Death Vol. 2".
I'm telling you, this song should have scored one of those really bad b-movie horror flicks in the 70's.

If you care enough to listen to the rest of the show, I also love the M-80's track "Treebee" from the same compilation, only one song after Jack Tragic.
