Martino!
I can't download because I don't have Windows 2000. I only have Windows 98 SE! I realize this is a tradgedy. I don't know what to say. I'm a full time student and part time worker. I spend far too much of my time doing either work or school-work. I'm not going to pay $300 for Windows 2000, or however much they want for it. I'm disappointed myself because I really wanted to try this thing out. Let me investigate some more to see if I can get around this and I will get back to you.

Look, Martino, have sympathy for a person who is drunk as hell...I've looked around on the web and I have no idea how to remedy this problem. If I don't have Windows 2000 or Windows XP, how can I have iTunes? If you figure out a way, let me know.

ARRRGH!

Marky,

I wouldn't want to stand in the way of your obsessions. Mrs Tommy is an employee of the evil microsoft empire. I can get this shit for next to nothing. Give me a call or e-mail me and we will get you sorted out without engaging in non kosher business practice.

Windows scares me. I have to leave my computer on all the time because of all the shut down problems I have had with Windows 98 SE. I am scared that one day I will wake up and it will all be crashed. I have had my share of "general protection faults" and such lately, too. Also, I read in the newspaper recently that there is a big security hole in the latest versions of Windows. It made me glad I had an older version! I was in my campus bookstore sometime last year and they had an offer for a student discount of $100 for the latest Windows software. This brought it down to $200. Wow, big improvement. I can't imagine any full-time student having that much money to spend on something like that, unless they have rich parents. I am a student, therefore, I am poor. People forget this all the time. Anyway...I guess I will email you.

I can't find your email address, though.

Tommy, actually I have your number. Kindof interesting story behind that. We exchanged numbers when McC first got back to town because I was supposed to try and get you a Johnny Marr ticket. You were going on a trip and would be back the day of the concert, but you weren't sure if you would actually make it. But I misplaced your number, which is really weird and unlike me. I looked all over for it in total frustration, drove me nuts. Eventually I gave up which was just as well cause I had no money to get a ticket and it didn't sell out anyway. I've never mentioned it, but I always wondered if you were angry that I didn't get back to you. Anyway, about a year later, I found your number in one of the pockets of my coat. I could not believe it. I taped it on my wall now so I won't lose it again!

Alright I will give you a call, but look...If this means having to lose everything that is now on my computer including all the delicious rare vinyl I've burned, then Martino, I'm sorry.

Well I've had the talk with Tommy man. Martino, I just can't help you. I wish I could but it isn't within my means. I wish you luck, honestly. But I'm sorry.

In the meantime, I hate to say it but if paxacidans haven't heard the first and third Chic albums you don't even know what disco is. You've got to forget everything you ever knew about disco. They do something to me that goes around in my head over and over and over all week.

I feel blessed. If I just had the first and third Chic albums, and all John Cooper Clarke and early New Order on a desert island, I'd be okay. I feel blessed. Party on, paxers.

I realize Chic were a U.S. band with a French name. That has nothing to do with the other thread, I swear. It's just a coincidence.

Martino, I may still be able to help you. Let me unpack and adjust a bit and get settled and then I will check it out.

Chic is la shit.

That means, the shit, not shit.
