The new one is better than the last one and maybe better than the new Strokes.

Anyone see them play recently? I heard they've improved live as well.

Well you see, BRMC suffer the same fate as so many other bands, including early Talking Heads...that is...they're not Blondie. I promise one day I will raise my head above the ocean of Blondie to taste other bands. I've already got the latest Blur and Shins albums waiting. Not to mention the Ramones...

My history with BRMC is spotty. I bought their first album. I liked it well enough, but I sold it. I heard some from their second album, it wasn't bad. But Jesus, I promise there will be a day when Mark is not obsessed with Blondie and then I will join you all in whatever you're interested in. At the very least I promise that alongside Lee Michaels I will download BRMC. I've already tried to download some of the latest Elbow album, among other things. I promise I am in my last stage of Blondie obsession now, having made a compilation of my favorite tracks off their first two albums. Their first demos, 1975, included mostly as bonus tracks on the remastered first album Blondie CD cannot be beat. I will get over it. Just give me time. I promise. Reality will come back to me. Not all bands can be Blondie or The Beatles. I will naturally eventually come to terms with this.

NME agrees with me... BRMC is still hip.
