I'm off to London. 1st stop Spring Heel Jack and J. Spaceman at Spitz. But damn me to hell I'm gonna miss the Spiritualized Acoustic Mainline show.

I'm gonna personally ask Mr. Spaceman to bring that tour to New York City.

"PAX" the art show.

I'm friends with some Italians who live in new York. Thursday they invited me to Michela Martello's “PAXâ€￾ art opening at Gloria's 145 6th Avenue (between Spring/Dominick) Loft 6D NY, NY 10013.

Since I started a web site in 1997 called Pax Acidus- a term many people had trouble getting there head around, I was right at home with the beautiful mixed media and watercolor paintings that were inspired by yoga, spirituality and of course, Peace.

Check it out if you get a chance. March 22-April 6: by appointment only. 917.847.1886.

Shane Gives a Standing Ovation

The Pogues must go on. Shane was wheeled out in a, um, wheelchair, and sang in a language that was not English, or Gaelic, but more like drunken gibberish and the audience loved it all the same. The circus act had returned to NYC. And we marvel that this man is still alive. It is sad, and it makes you cry. But then you laugh. Because, you know, it is the only thing to do. And you know he is in his cups when he does that spit/laugh/snort/chortle type thing. My girlfriend Angela, who is new to the world of Mr. MacGowan, thought the songs the band did when Shane was off the stage were better. I tried to explain to her that there was only one genius running the show- and he was the guy least in control. It was Shane alone who had penned the brilliant songs, and let's be honest- pissed to debilitating states and the loss of his legs or not- he was the only reason we were there. I say I tried to explain this to Angela, but the whiskey got in the way.

Cheers. And a word from Shane. “D7#sfpkgguj[gu3j45]0-0]4ujh]0ergeâ€￾
